Who we are
The Poet’s Wife is an artisan-owned bespoke brand specializing in handcrafted bridal headwear and accessories. Founded by curriedmyrrh, we create exquisite, beaded crowns, tiaras, combs, and other hair embellishments designed for the bride and her bridal party, as well as gifts and décor accessories for weddings and special occasions.
It All Started with a Flower
The journey began with a simple yet meaningful idea—a flower. While planning my daughter’s bridal shower, I envisioned a creative activity that would leave the bride and her guests with a cherished memento. The idea of hand-beading a flower took root, and the “Evermore” blossom was born.
Using Czech and Miyuki glass, crystal beads, and pearls in wedding-inspired colors, we gathered to create flowers that reflected our personal unique styles. Each bloom became more than just a craft; it became a token of individuality, love, and the eternal blooming of friendship.
The experience was so meaningful and inspiring, and it sowed the seed to manifest and embody both sentimentality and sophistication. I knew then that I was destined to design and create this feeling for all brides.
The Poet’s Inspiration
The name, “The Poet’s Wife,” reflects my profound love for poetry, epic tales, and timeless journeys. My bridal headpieces are inspired by these evocative narratives, weaving free-spirited elegance with bohemian charm to create accessories that crown brides with beauty from within. their souls, their dreams and the Spirit around them.
With ancestral roots stretching from the refined architecture of Copenhagen to the sweeping flax fields of Czechoslovakia, I draw inspiration from a harmonious blend of history and nature. This duality influences every piece, celebrating both heritage and individuality Not only about places I've been to, and experiences I've had-but also the ones branded on my soul from stories and poems from long ago and far away.
I am also completely in love with the delicate, lush, and magnificent ornamental embossing on the covers and spines of antique and vintage books. How the designs embrace and speak to the title, how diverse they are, how graceful; they never cease to inspire visions of etheric and elegant timeless bridal adornment.
